Kristy completed her undergraduate degree in Foods and Nutrition at the University of Prince Edward Island where she competed as a varsity field hockey player. She then returned home to Alberta and graduated from the University of Alberta’s Master of Science in Physical Therapy program. Since graduating, Kristy has obtained her Level 1 Manual Therapy, Level 1 Functional Dry Needling, and Lower Level Mulligan Certification.
In addition to her regular physiotherapy training, Kristy has completed her pelvic health training through Pelvic Health Solutions Level 1-3. She has also completed training in Pregnancy, Pelvic Girdle Pain, & The Pelvic Floor. Kristy is certified to treat a range of conditions including pelvic pain, incontinence, and pelvic dysfunction during prenatal and postpartum period.
Kristy uses a results centred approach with the goal of getting patients better as quickly and fully as possible. Like all appointments at Encompass Sports Therapy, treatments are performed one on one, so patients get the most possible out of their sessions. Her main goal is to help her patients return to doing what they love!
In her spare time, Kristy keeps active with running, yoga, biking, golfing and hiking.
