Dr. Phil Nelson, Chiropractor, BScKin, ART
Phil grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick, and graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Philip then attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, where he graduated in 2012 before moving to Calgary.
Phil is the official chiropractor of the Alberta Ballet/School of Alberta Ballet, an active member of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team, and a patroller with the Canadian Ski Patrol. He has always been passionate about health and he is a firm believer that proper biomechanics, strengthening and education will prevent people from suffering from injuries in the first place.
Since graduating, Phil has continued to learn new techniques and therapies to further his treatment skills for his patients. To date, he has taken several Active Release Techniques courses, is certified in Graston Technique, and has his ACC level II acupuncture designation.
In his spare time, Phil enjoys hiking, skiing, and anything that involves the mountains.
