Daniel Lawson
Physiotherapist, M.Sc
Daniel was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2020, following an undergraduate education rooted in the health and movement sciences.
Daniel takes an active and evidence-informed approach to care. He prioritizes understanding each patient’s individual goals and builds customized treatment plans that focus on long-term function. He has a particular interest in working with low backs, shoulders, hips, ankles, and running injuries.
Daniel is committed to developing his clinical skills, and has pursued several advanced certifications, including Biomedical Dry Needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and specializes in scoliosis treatment as a certified ISST Schroth Therapist. In additional, Daniel has training in both the McGill and McKenzie Methods for managing lower back pain.
As a former competitive runner, hockey player, and semi-professional kickboxer, Daniel brings a personal understanding of the demands of sport and movement. He continues to stay active through rock climbing and weight training, and is passionate about helping others move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities they love.
