Mark Vickers
Registered Psychologist

Mark Vickers (he/him) is a Registered Psychologist with an MA in School Psychology and declared competencies in both school and counselling psychology. Mark brings over eight years of diverse clinical experience from New Brunswick, where he practiced across education, community mental health, nonprofit, and private practice settings before relocating to Alberta.
Mark works primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults, with a particular focus on anxiety and related disorders (e.g., obsessive-compulsive disorder, selective mutism), depressive disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and trauma-related concerns. He is experienced and skilled in providing gender-affirming care, including WPATH assessments, collaborative care, affirmative counseling, and family education. He is dedicated to supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and their families in affirming and inclusive environments.
Mark’s therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. He is trauma-informed, and gender- and neurodiversity-affirming and has a strong commitment to collaborative, strengths-based, and culturally responsive care.
Mark is also highly experienced with conducting comprehensive psychological assessments. He specifically enjoys providing psychoeducational assessments, ADHD, and giftedness assessments for children, youth, and adults. He provides services in English.
In his personal time, Mark can be found exploring new coffee shops, listening to music, hiking, at the driving range, or trying to convince his friends that he is correct at trivia nights (even when he is not).
