Dr. Robert Yates

Dr. Robert Yates earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He takes an evidence-based, patient-centred approach to care, with a focus on helping people understand their pain, feel confident in their treatment, and get back to doing what they love. Dr. Rob enjoys using anatomical images and visual aids to explain what’s going on in the body, answer questions, and help patients feel more involved in their recovery. He believes you shouldn’t have to guess what’s causing your pain or feel left in the dark about what to do next.

His treatment approach combines hands-on care and movement-based strategies tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. Techniques include diversified spinal and extremity manipulation, joint mobilization, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, exercise prescription, shockwave therapy, laser therapy, and custom orthotic scanning and fitting. He has also completed the Integrated Needling seminar series, qualifying him to provide acupuncture within his chiropractic practice.

Dr. Rob is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA), the Chiropractic Association of Alberta (CAA), and the Chiropractic College of Alberta (CCOA).

With a background in a variety of sports and a particular focus on competitive soccer, Dr. Rob has a strong interest in sports injuries, movement, and helping people return to the activities they enjoy. He works with patients experiencing neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, headaches, and shoulder pain, from desk workers dealing with everyday aches and stiffness to athletes looking to get back to training and competition. Whether it’s getting through the workday more comfortably, getting back in the gym, or staying active as you get older, he takes a practical, individualized approach to helping patients move with greater comfort and confidence.

When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Rob is usually looking for his next excuse to get outdoors or squeeze a little adventure into the day. Whether it’s biking, hiking, skiing in the winter, or going for a swim at the lake, he’s always happy to get outside and make the most of his free time. He’s a big fan of staying active, trying new things, and not taking life too seriously. For Dr. Rob, the best days usually involve a little adventure, plenty of laughs, and time spent with his wife and daughter.
